The Mira family live in Los Talpetates, El Salvador. Josefa Mira, grandmother of the
children we support, has been a midwife for over 50 years and continues to run the women's health clinic.
She is the mother of fourteen and has lived in three civil wars in El Salvador and Honduras. Amelia Mira
is mother of the four students Erik, Christian, Marvin, and Omar. Sara Mira is mother of Xenia and Esperanza.
The last student, Diana, is daughter of Josefa's nephew; she lives in Quetzaltepeque, near San Salvador.
